Plage de Rochelongue

The highpoint of western Cap d’Agde is the newest area, built around the Mail de Rochelongue, a vast pedestrian-only shopping avenue leading to the beach and facing Fort Brescou.

Its highly original architecture is a deliberate contrast with the rest of Cap d’Agde. Rochelongue Point is a natural feature that marks the town’s western boundary.

The white, very fine, sandy beach, a continuation of Richelieu Beach, slopes gently down to the sea. Behind it, beyond the Mail, are a number of charming little Mediterranean-style villages.
